ANTWERP, Ohio (WANE) — The body of a missing Antwerp man was found, and his wife has been arrested on a murder charge.
Christopher S. Franklin, 47, was reported missing on Friday. Antwerp Police Chief George Clemons told WANE 15 that his brother filed the missing persons report.
On Saturday then, Antwerp Police said a body believed to be Franklin had been located. Details on the condition, or the suspicion of foul play, were not released.
The body was sent to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy and proper identification.

Police said in the same report that a person of interest connected to the case had been arrested. APD confirmed to WANE 15 that the only person arrested in the last 24 hours with an aggravated murder charge was the person connected to the case – 47-year-old Heidi Lynn Grant.

Chief Clemons said Monday that Grant was the wife of Franklin.

Clemons said that Heidi Grant claimed she last saw Franklin on Jan. 16, five days before his brother reported him missing.
Clemons could not comment on details of what happened, but he did say that through the course of the missing person investigation, detectives began piecing the evidence together and were able to find Franklin and arrest Grant.
According to Franklin’s Facebook page, Grant and Franklin have been married since April 2021.
Police asked for help on Facebook to find Franklin, who was last seen on Jan. 16 around 10 a.m. wearing a gray Champion sweatshirt, navy blue sweat pants, and Nike Tennis shoes.
