Taste of the Arts, an annual celebration of the rich diversity of arts and culture in the area takes place Friday and Saturday in downtown Fort Wayne.
The festival runs Friday from 5 pm to 10 pm and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Arts Campus located at 300 East Main Street.
This year, the festival features 36 artisans with a selection of handmade jewelry, woodworking, paper goods, ceramics and more.
And what would a festival be without food? Lots of Fort Wayne restaurants will have food booths set up with food tickets costing $1 each and most tastings will require 2-4 tickets.
There are also lots of activities for children at the NIPSCO Steam Park at Freimann Square Park. Over 40 businesses and non-profit organizations are participating this year by providing a host of free activities.
Admission to the festival is free. WANE-TV meteorologists Adam Solarczyk and Rob Lydick will be at the NIPSCO Steam Park located at Freimann Square from 10 am to 2 pm while News Anchor/Reporter Kaitor Kay will be at the station booth starting at 2 pm on Saturday.
