The cold front responsible for Saturday’s scattered rain and gusty winds will usher in some much colder air for the conclusion of our weekend. By the time Easter Sunday arrives, we’ll be partly cloudy, but temperatures will struggle to hit the 40° mark. Clouds will increase during the afternoon, but we’ll stay dry throughout the day.
Easter does arrive more than two weeks earlier than last year (Easter 2017 was on April 16th). Typical highs on April 1st should be right around 55°, but we’ll be at least 15° below that and significantly lower than the 75° high we reached last year. The warmest Easter on record was back in 1976 when we hit 83°. Last year did see a bit of rain (only 0.01″), but no where near the rainfall we saw on the Easter Sunday of 2006, when 1.21″ of rain fell.
