A Fort Wayne man wanted for 2 misdemeanors and 2 felony warrants has been arrested.
Twenty-seven-year-old David Goodman is facing charges in connection to those warrants, plus a dealing marijuana and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon charges.
Detectives with Fort Wayne Police Department’s Gang and Violent Crimes Unit saw Goodman enter a home in the 2600 block of Bowser Avenue, around 4:10 p.m. Saturday.
The detectives knew Goodman was wanted for 4 active warrants.
Detectives surrounded the house and used a flash bang to get Goodman to exit the residence.
After several minutes, Goodman exited the home, and was placed into custody.
While on the scene, authorities noticed a marijuana odor coming from inside. The primary resident gave detectives consent to search the house.
They found digital scales, unused plastic baggies and plastic containers that detectives suspect previously held marijuana. Detectives also found 164 vape cartridges that contained THC, with a suspected street value of $8,200.
Detectives then found a 9mm handgun, which has been reported stolen from a burglary in 2017.
Goodman is behind bars without bond.
