A total of 6 people were arrested Saturday after a traffic stop in Angola prompted police to search a home. It started when a member of the Angola City Police Department pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of W. Broad and N. Darling Streets.
The person behind the wheel, Michael Forrester, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Police said Saturday was not Forrester’s first time driving with a suspended license; therefore, increasing the weight of his charges.
Forrester and one of the vehicle’s passengers, Tilina Curea, were charged with possessing a handgun without a license, methamphetamine, a hypodermic needle, marijuana and paraphernalia.
A second passenger, Jessica Jones, faces the aforementioned charges, with the exception of marijuana possession.
During the traffic stop, investigating officers determined the need to secure an apartment at the University Inn Apartments. The complex is located at 800 W. Maumee. Authorities applied for a warrant, which was signed by a judge, and executed by officers.
As a result of the search, police arrested Stephen Fetzer, Jacob Nodine and Lydia Tuckerman. All three people were charged with possession of methamphetamine, a hypodermic needle and paraphernalia.
The Angola City Police, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and Steuben County Prosecutor’s Office and credited in the case.
