51st Salamonie Summer Festival celebrates 'Spirit of a Small Town'

WARREN - Some people chose to beat the weekend's heat with some fun at the Salamonie Summer Festival.

The festival was held in downtown Warren.

There were lots of activities including a firefighter water ball fight, where kids could use firefighter hoses to spray a tethered ball to the other side.  There was also food, water balloon fights, a car show, tractor show, and a selfie run.

This year's theme was "Spirit of a Small Town."

"It's just good memories, that the big key in small communities is to have things for everybody to do and be involved in and have a good time during the summer," said Mike Bolinger, a Warren Volunteer Firefighter.

This is the 51st year for the festival.
