5 questions with Dirk Rowley

Local News

New anchor Dirk Rowley joins veteran Terra Brantley on the WANE-TV anchor desk Wednesday night.

Rowley joins WANE after four years as host of a daily half-hour TV talk show, which featured leaders of government, business, and non-profit groups. Before that, he spent 30 years in radio, much of that hosting perennial favorite “Majic in the Morning with Dirk and Jeannette” on WAJI-FM.

Dirk’s history with WANE actually goes back further. In the early 1990s, Dirk served as a fill-in weatherman during some noon, weekend or holiday newscasts.

In an effort to introduce Dirk to our viewers, we asked him a questions about where he came from, why he’s chosen to call Fort Wayne home, what viewers can expect from him and even if his name really is Dirk! Check out his answers in the video above.

Dirk Rowley and Terra Brantley will deliver coverage you can count weeknights at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Keep up with Dirk on Facebook and Twitter, or email him at dirk.rowley@wane.com.
