3 hurt after downtown crash closes Washington, Clinton

Three people were hurt after a two vehicle crash at a major downtown intersection Tuesday night.

The crash happened at South Clinton Street and East Washington Boulevard shortly before 10 p.m. 

Police said one of the two vehicles likely ran a red light, but they are still working to figure out what happened. 

Three people were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The impact of the crash knocked down a traffic light. 

Southbound Clinton and westbound Washington were closed for several hours. All lanes on both roads were back open by 2 a.m. 

The crash is under investigation.
