The Allen County Democrats are watching a key congressional race Tuesday night. Three candidates vying to go up against incumbent Republican Congressman Jim Banks for district three in the November Election: John Roberson, Courtney Tritch and Tommy Schrader.
Courtney Tritch, born in raised in Fort Wayne, runs two of her own businesses. She also works with regional cities initiatives, helping to get money for local projects.
This is all new to her where as Tommy Shrader has been vying for votes since the last election. Shrader, who calls himself the unique choice, was on First News Saturday this past weekend. He talked about gaining votes the past two years and how he hopes to keep it going.
“This is our first step, our first milestone on the road to November. I’ve ben so excited to read this morning that early voting had basically doubled since the last midterm. So that’s exciting to us that people are getting out an exercising their right to vote and we’re excited for tonight,” Tritch said.
“What I love doing is just going up to thousands of people over the last two years and saying ‘hey I’m Tommy Shrader, I won the democratic party for congress and I’m running again so vote for me.'”
John Roberson will also be going up against the two to face off against Jim Banks.
Coming up tonight on Nightcast, we will have reaction on what happens, possibly with a winner.
