2nd suspect charged in home invasion killing

PAULDING CO., Ohio (WANE) - A second arrest has been made in a September shooting death of a Cecil, Ohio, man.

Zane C. Bartley, 32, was indicted Thursday on one count of Complicity to Aggravated Murder and one count of Aggravated Burglary related to the Sept. 20 killing of Phllip Koenn in his home at 11243 Road 230 outside Cecil.

U.S. Marshals captured Bartley near Louisa, Kentucky Friday afternoon.

It was around 12:30 p.m. that September day when police were called to Koenn's home after someone reported a home invasion there. Officers arrived and found Koenn shot to death.

After the discovery, authorities launched a manhunt to find suspects in the shooting.

An aircraft was used to search a wooded area, and a wide area around the home and surrounding lane was blocked off by police.

Several tips and investigative work led to a warrant, location, and arrest of Michael Kent Loop, 32, of Defiance, Ohio, police said at the time. Loop faces a charge for murder.

Police believe Barley was complicit.

Bartley will be extradited back to Paulding County later to face charges.

A woman with Bartley at the time of his arrest - 29-year-old Marcella C. Wright - was found to have an unrelated warrant  for Possession of Methamphetamine out of Paulding County. She, too, will be extradited back to Ohio.
