Two men were seriously hurt after they rolled a car and crashed into a billboard early Thursday morning.
A couple driving by noticed the car off the road and ran and got help from nearby residents around 2:15 a.m.
Emergency crews responded to the crash on S. Coliseum Boulevard, just south of New Haven Avenue just five minutes later.
It took crews close to a half-hour to get the men out of the car because of the damage to the top side of the vehicle.
Police handcuffed at least one of the men because he was being combative toward emergency personnel, according to police officials. Police said the men were emotionally worked up because of the crash.
Both victims were taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Police said it’s not clear yet why they crashed or if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
No other information was immediately available.
