Two men died Saturday night after crashing a car on a country road in DeKalb County.

Emergency crews responded to the 7100 block of County Road 11A around 6:46 p.m.

According to police, Nicholas Wells, 33, Garrett, was driving south on County Road 11A at a high rate of speed when he crossed the center line and lost control.

Investigations show the car then went off the road and hit a ditch line, causing it to flip multiple times before hitting a utility pole and then a fence.

The passenger of the car, Ryan Greathouse, 32, Auburn, was ejected from the car in the process.

Medics pronounced both Wells and Greathouse dead at the scene.

No other vehicles appeared to be involved in the incident.

The crash is under investigation.
