FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A driver was critically hurt in a crash on Fort Wayne's southwest side Monday morning.
Police and medics were called just after 10 a.m. to the intersection of Scott and Covington roads on a report of a crash. Dispatchers told WANE 15 that one person was reported in critical condition.
Police at the scene said a box truck was headed westbound and a sedan was headed east and the two vehicles collided. It's not clear which went left of center.
The driver of the sedan - described as an adult male - was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Two men in the box truck were not hurt, police said.
Crash scene investigators were called to analyze the scene, authorities said. The intersection was closed to traffic for several hours.
