Police use tear gas again to disperse crowd during second day of protests

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A second day of protests began Saturday afternoon in downtown Fort Wayne following demonstrations Friday that resulted in the arrests of 29 people.

The protests are in response to the the death in Minnesota of George Floyd after a white officer pressed a knee into his neck while taking him into custody. That officer was arrested Friday.

Several hours after the demonstrations started, several people went into the street and after being warned by police, tear gas was fired.
