INDIANAPOLIS, (WANE) – The North Side Legends battled the Ben Davis Giants for the IHSAA 4A Boys’ Basketball State Championship.

The Legends lost 55-52.HALFTIME STATS

Jaylen Butz scored 7 points and pulled down 7 rebounds in the first half, Juan Quarles had 7 points and 3 rebounds. Keion Brooks had 3 points and 2 rebounds.

North Side is shooting 53 percent on 10-of-19 shooting. The Legends defense has held Ben Davis to 31 percent shooting.

North Side has only made 5-of-13 free throws.HISTORY

The Legends are trying to win their first-ever boys’ basketball state title. Ben Davis is looking for its third overall state championship and first since 1996.

North Side is making its third state finals appearance, losing in both 1955 and 1965.

North Side defeated DeKalb, Northrop, and Snider to win their sectional. They defeated both Homestead and Carmel to win the regional.
