Walmart will host a job fair Tuesday and Wednesday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds where the retailer will try to hire approximately 500 new associates and more than 20 new managers at the Walmart eCommerce Fulfilment Center at 9590 All Points Parkway in Plainfield. Starting pay at the Plainfield facility ranges from $14.25 to $15.95 per hour.

“We are excited to grow our team in Indiana and serve our Walmart.com customers,” said Jason Speedy, Senior Director of Fulfilment, Walmart eCommerce. “Indiana is called the Crossroads of America for a reason: our Plainfield facility is perfectly situated to deliver products anywhere in the country in two days or fewer by truck.”

New hires will handle shipping and logistics for Walmart.com and Walmart’s various online brands like Jet.com and Sam’s Club. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. Interested applicants may also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com.

The job fair will be located in Grand Hall, just north of Indiana Farmers Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Walmart has equipped the hall with computers for applicants to use and applicants should bring a photo ID.
