A Milton woman was hurt Friday morning after her vehicle rode up onto a guard rail then rolled into an embankment.
Police and medics were called around 7:45 a.m. to the northbound lanes of the Muncie Bypass near Hoyt Road on a report of a rollover crash. There, responders arrived and found a 2010 Honda CRV driven by 72-year-old Linda Locke of Milton over the guardrail on its side.
An investigation into the crash found that Locke was exiting the Bypass when, for an unknown reason, it drove up the end on the guardrail and skidded along the top of the guardrail for about 84 feet, state police said. The SUV then rolled off into the grassy embankment, a report said.
Locke was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
