The Silver Alert issued for 8-month-old Amiah Robertson was canceled Wednesday night.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the cancelation was “due to very few tips coming in on that specific hotline.”
The FBI joined Indianapolis police in investigating Amiah’s disappearance and authorities did locate some items possibly linked to the investigation at a creek.
According to our partners at WISH, the items were found near the shoreline of Eagle Creek Wednesday afternoon after a tip from an undisclosed source. Authorities declined to provide descriptions of items recovered from the shoreline but did not rule out toys, shoes or articles of clothing. Officials say the items have not been conclusively linked to the investigation.
Divers also went into the river to assist the investigation, but only found debris.
Police issued a statewide Silver Alert on Tuesday for the baby who was first reported missing Saturday by her family. Police said she is “believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.”
Police say Amiah’s family initially told investigators she had last been seen Thursday and “was not believed to be in danger.” That last sighting later was updated to Saturday.
