ROCKVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Indiana conservation officers say they rescued a family of five from a creek after high water swamped their off-road vehicle in western Indiana.
They say they used an airboat to reach 61-year-old Jeffrey Riddle, 25-year-old Mari Riddle and three juveniles Sunday afternoon after they were found clinging to the ORV in Little Raccoon Creek east of their hometown of Rockville.
Officers say the group was riding a side-by-side ORV and attempted to cross a flooded portion of roadway with a swift current.
No one was injured.
Officers didn’t disclose the relationships among the five.
The rescue occurred about 50 miles west of Indianapolis.
