Indiana
Challenger clocked going 116

Indiana State Police arrested a woman Monday after they clocked her going 116 mph in a posted 60 mph zone.

Indiana State Trooper Jesse Reason initiated a traffic stop on U.S. 31 near Fulton County Road 100 North around 2 p.m.

As he approached the driver’s side of the car, he saw a one-year-old child who was not properly restrained in a child’s car seat.

Trooper Reason also noticed an open alcoholic beverage inside the car.

He then removed Rachel Harding, 36, Indianapolis, from the car and conducted a breathalyzer test and determined Harding was over the legal limit.

Reason arrested Harding and took her to the Fulton County Jail.

She faces criminal charges for operating while intoxicated, criminal recklessness with a vehicle, and neglect of a dependent.

Police released the child into the custody of the Department of Child Services.

The incident is under investigation.
