Indiana teachers rally for better pay

Thousands of teachers, educators and students gathered at the Statehouse yesterday to push for increased wages and more resources.

The Indiana State Teachers Association says they’re losing teachers due to the lack of pay.

On average Indiana teachers make just over $54,000, according to the National Teachers Association. The starting salary is about $35,000.

The teachers are urging folks to contact their state representative and what they’re doing to help our teachers.
