Indiana State Police trooper escapes serious injuries after rollover crash

Indiana

An Indiana State Police trooper avoided serious injuries after crashing his cruiser on the Indiana Toll Road Wednesday morning.

Master Trooper Bradley Kaizer, a 31-year veteran of the force, was traveling west on the Toll Road near the 77.4 mile marker near the Notre Dame exit when he tried to stop a car for a traffic violation.

Kaizer was attempting to catch up to the vehicle when he lost control of his cruiser on an overpass. It slid on the frost rolled several times before hitting a guardrail.

The vehicle finally landed on its roof and continued to slide, stopping at the center of the eastbound lanes.

Kaizer was taken to a hospital with only cuts and bruises.
