A grand opening celebration is planned Thursday for the Indiana Military Veteran Hall of Fame memorial building in Lawrence.
Inside the building are a number of items to honor the service men and women who have been inducted into the Indiana Military Veteran Hall of Fame.
62 veterans have been indicted since the Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame since it was established in 2013.
“The reason we did it is so that we can continue to help educate others in the service that has been provided for our freedoms,” said Russ Dowden, chairman of the Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame.
The grand opening celebration is scheduled for 2 p.m. outside of the memorial located at 5360 Herbert Lord Road in Lawrence.
The building will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
