An Indiana man was arrested and charged with 107 counts of Possession of Child Pornography Thursday.
The investigation began in February when the Indiana State Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a report stated. That tip led Indiana State Police Detective Tom Basham to talking to Lantz Helms, 21, of Madison, Indiana. Det. Basham works on the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Child (ICAC) task force.
As a result of the interview and investigation, Helms was arrested and charged with 107 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a level 6 felony, said Indiana State police Sgt. Carey Huls. Lantz Helms was taken into custody and to the Clark County Jail.
Officers from the Indiana State Police were assisted by the Charlestown Police Department.
This investigation is ongoing.
