KOKOMO, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say three people have died in a plane crash at a central Indiana airport.

The Howard County sheriff’s office said Sunday that deputies were dispatched around 11:30 a.m. to the Glendale Airport in Kokomo and found a plane on fire in a field.

The Howard County coroner said three people – the pilot and two teenage brothers – died and one survived.

An investigation found the single-engine plane struck a large high-tension power line and nose dived into a cornfield.

Kokomo is about 60 miles north of Indianapolis.
