2 Fort Wayne burgers make 'Best of Indiana' list

INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) - Two burgers from Fort Wayne restaurants have made the 2018 Best of Indiana people's choice list.  The Bravas PB Burger and the Big Buster at Don Hall's Hollywood Drive-in were bested only by a burger joint in Jasper. 

The winners of the Best of Indiana campaign were announced Thursday in the categories of Best State Park, Best Museum and Best Burger.

The overall winner in the burger category was The Brew Burger at Brew in Jasper. it's an 8-ounce hamburger and includes smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, coffee BBQ sauce, and is topped with a brioche bun and perfectly crispy onion ring.

The PB Burger at Bravas is crafted with homemade peanut butter, bacon, pickled peppers, mayo, white cheddar smothered over a patty on a pretzel bun. The Big Buster at Don Hall’s Hollywood Drive-In is a double decker with cheese, shredded lettuce and their special sauce.

Nominees for all three categories were recommended by members of Indiana’s travel, tourism and hospitality industry. 

The overall winner in the museum category was The Children's Museum of Indianapolis followed by the Grissom Air Museum and Conner Prairie.

Turkey Run State Park topped the list of Best State Parks and Recreation Areas, followed by Brown County State Park and McCormick's Creek State Park.
