FWFD: Vacant house fire on Roy Street ‘suspicious’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A vacant home caught fire early Monday morning.

Firefighters were called to 1924 Roy Street around 2:15 a.m.

Fire officials said when the first firefighters arrived they found heavy fire on the first floor of the two-story home. It took crews about 15 minutes to get the flames under control.

Crews searched the home but didn’t find anyone inside.

No injuries were reported.

Fire officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation, but they believe it is suspicious.
