FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Grand Wayne Center welcomed back the FAME festival over the weekend for its 36th consecutive year.

The event featured a wide variety of student art displays and performances including piano, vocal, dance, and drama. Workshops including guest musicians, dancers, and visual artists were also at the festival.

“We need to support the arts in our city,” said FAME Executive Director Kryste Wallen. “The arts provide quality education for our children, which helps their mental health and their cognitive processing, and just be apart of the community, come out and have fun with us.”

The festival ran March 11-12 at the Grand Wayne Center in downtown Fort Wayne.
