The Van Buren Town Marshal was arrested Thursday after surveillance video appeared to show him taking prescription drugs from a home while in full uniform.

Donald R. Bosley, 49, faces a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor charge of theft.

According to Indiana State Police, a homeowner discovered earlier this year that prescription drugs had been taken from his home.

He then installed a video surveillance system in his house.

On Tuesday, the homeowner found that he was again missing the medicine.  When he reviewed the surveillance video he saw that a man he recognized as Bosley had entered his home in full uniform on May 31 and had taken the drugs.

The homeowner contacted Indiana State Police on Thursday which led to Bosley’s arrest.

Additional charges are pending.
