Two arrested after 3 county, 58 mile chase

Aaron Taylor Cassandra Plantz

A man wanted on multiple felony warrants led police on a chase Sunday in southern Indiana that lasted an hour and covered more than 58 miles according to Indiana State Police.

The chase began just before 10:30 pm. in Monroe County when two troopers recognized the driver of a pickup as Aaron Taylor, 21, of Bloomington.

Taylor refused to stop when the troopers tried to pull him over and he sped off.

The two troopers then followed on a chase that ventured into Greene and Lawrence counties and involved multiple police departments.

The pickup eventually lost both passenger side tires as a result of stop sticks and came to a stop on Liberty Drive just south of Third Street in Bloomington.

During the chase, Taylor was seen throwing a loaded handgun from the truck which was recovered by officers.

Taylor and his passenger, Cassandra Plantz, 22, of Bloomington, were found to have large amounts of look-alike drugs along with methamphetamine and marijuana.

They both face multiple felony charges.
