Subway Get2Go Robbery

Fort Wayne Police have asked for the public’s help to identify a suspect in an armed robbery of a Bluffton Road gas station earlier this month.

Officers were called to 4935 Bluffton Road June 11 on a report of an armed robbery. According to a report report, a man armed with a gun took a coin register machine from the Subway/Get2Go gas station and left in a Dodge van.

An employee first saw the two suspects hanging out near the pumps and begging for money, according to a police report.

At one point, both men got into a silver or grey Dodge van with a missing hub cap to move to the other side of the parking lot to continue begging. Minutes later, one of the men came into the store and sat down.

That suspect was described as a man wearing blue hoodie and black pants.

After he sat down for a while, an employee came back to the front of the store when the suspect stood up and pointed a gun at him, saying, “This is a hold up, give me all the money”. The employee then ducked down and went back through the door.

The suspect then tried to take money out of the register but couldn’t so he turned his eyes to the coin register. He then got away with the money and took off.

Anyone who knows the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Detective Bureau at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (436-7867).
