Police seek help finding vehicle that struck bicyclist in LaGrange County

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning in LaGrange County and police are looking for the driver of the vehicle that hit him.

According to the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department, Perry Fry, 69, of Topeka was riding a bicycle on County Road 600 S near 700 W just after 10 a.m. when he was struck by the passenger side mirror of a large pickup or SUV.

The impact knocked him off the bicycle and a passerby found him a short time later.  Fry suffered injuries to his shoulder and head. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. 

Officers from multiple police departments searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Police believe the vehicle involved was a 1999-2006 GMC or Chevrolet Sierra, Tahoe, Avalanche or Silverado.
