A South Bend man wanted in the killing of a woman whose remains were found buried in Minnesota last week was possibly spotted in Van Wert, police said Monday.

Daniel Lynn, 40, of South Bend is wanted for murder in the death of 28-year-old Christina Woods of South Bend. Woods was reported missing in early June, and authorities believe she had possibly traveled to Minnesota.

On July 2, authorities in St. Louis County, Minnesota, found Woods remains in a shallow grave in Beatty Township, Minnesota, on a property owned by a family member of Lynn.

After the discovery, police identified Lynn as a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Monday then, the Van Wert (Ohio) Police Department said it had received reports that Lynn was spotted in the Van Wert area last week. He was possibly driving an early 2000s white or off-white Ford Explorer or Mercury Mountaineer, police said.

Van Wert Police said anyone who knows the whereabouts of Lynn should call local police or Crime Stoppers. Lynn should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
