Police: Man jumps counter, robs Fort Wayne gas station


FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne police are investigating a reported armed robbery of an east-side gas station.

Fort Wayne Police were called around 1:15 Monday morning to the Phillips 66 at 3202 E. State Boulevard, near Hobson Road.

According to a police report, an attendant said a male walked into the station with a handgun and jumped the counter and demanded cash. She said he left with an undisclosed amount of cash out the door.

A K9 unit attempted to track the suspect but was unsuccessful. No description was available.

No injuries were reported.
