STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Three occupants of a pickup truck were taken to a Fort Wayne hospital early Wednesday morning after the 16-year-old driver lost control and hit a tree according to the Steuben County Sheriff's Office.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash took place at approximately 2:10 a.m. near the intersection of Orland Road and CR 225 W between Lake James and Crooked Lake.
Investigators believe the driver, Chase Townsend, 16, of Angola was headed west on Orland Road when he drove off the road and ended up hitting a tree.
Townsend and two passengers, Jeffrey Detro Jr., 21, of Angola and Kegan Townsend, 21, of Angola were all ejected from the pickup.
All three were taken to a Fort Wayne hospital for treatment.
The Angola Fire Department and Steuben County EMS also assisted at the scene.
