FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Book and food lovers will unite for a day to enjoy delectable creations for an annual event. The Edible Book Festival was first started in 2000 by two women. Ivy Tech Community College Northeast Library has been taking part in the international festival for nine years.

Participants can enter to create a dish based on a book, book title or pun of a book title. Organizers are encouraging Ivy Tech students, local businesses or food artists to be creative with their edible art.

Festival goers are invited to look at the treats before they will be eaten. There will also be live music, prizes, crafting for kids and storytelling with the Ivy Tech Administration.

The Edible Book Festival is from 12 p.m.- 2 p.m. Monday, March 30 in the Ivy Tech Student Life Center Gym on the Fort Wayne campus.
