Homestead freshman soccer star picks Penn State

High School Sports

Homestead freshman Amelia White has three more seasons left in high school, but the standout soccer player already knows where she’ll play in college as the forward has verbally committed to Penn State.

Last fall White scored 16 goals and had 9 assists in 14 games for the Spartans. She helped Homestead finish 18-4 overall and earn a spot in the 3A state title game.

Prior to suiting up for the Spartans White led the U.S. U15 Girls National Team in goals at the CFA International Women’s Youth Football Tournament in Weifing, China.
