Eastbrook falls to Western Boone in 2A state title game

INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) - Eastbrook made its second trip to the 2A state title game in three years but the Panthers came up short again with a 34-20 loss to Western Boone on Friday afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Eastbrook, ranked no. 5 in the 2A state poll, led 14-10 at half thanks to two rushing touchdowns from quarterback Dylan Bragg. Bragg finished with 12 carries for 47 yards and 3 TDs.

2A no. 1 Western Boone scored on the first play from scrimmage in the third quarter when Spencer Wright hit Logan Benson for a 56-yard TD. Benson finished the game with 9 receptions for 159 yards and 4 touchdown catches.

Xaine Kirby led Eastbrook in rushing with 23 carries for 60 yards.

Eastbrook finishes 13-2 overall in Jeff Adamson's 30th season while Western Boone ends up a perfect 15-0.
