ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – As storms rolled in the northeast Indiana area Tuesday morning, they brought heavy rain and gusty winds.
In the Coventry Court Apartment Townehomes complex, the strong winds brought down a tree and power lines.
Another viewer submitted these photos of a fallen tree following Tuesday morning’s storms. This viewer says a huge tree took out her moms garage, car window and ripped wires off her house.
Storms also produced frequent lightning a WANE 15 photographer captured the lightning show. This is what it looked like off Union Chapel earlier this morning – several miles away from the actual system.
Heavy rain also walloped the area.
We measured 1.2″ at the station from this mornings heavy rainfall. We have radar estimates of over 3″ in Lagrange County and even close to 2″ in SW Allen County from the torrential rainfall this morning. FortRain pic.twitter.com/zotHVgo1Qd— WANE 15 Weather (@wanewx) August 10, 2021
