Indiana Tech uses big fourth quarter to down WVU Tech

Down by one heading into the fourth quarter Indiana Tech rallied to outscore WVU Tech 20-9 in the final frame and win its opening round game at the NAIA Division II national tournament 73-63 on Wednesday afternoon.

Tech was led by Heritage High School graduate Kendall Knapke with 25 points and 9 rebounds. DeAnn Kauffman added 16 points, Alexis Hill 13, and Kyra Whitaker 12.

Tech, the no. 2 seed in the Naismith Bracket, advances to face the no. 3 seed Eastern Oregon at 9:30 a.m. (Eastern) on Friday in the second round. Eastern Oregon beat Saint Francis 70-61 in the first round on Wednesday.
