Top-seeded Indiana Tech knocked the University of Northwestern Ohio out of the WHAC women’s basketball tournament in the first round with a 64-53 victory Wednesday night at the Schaefer Center.
Indiana Tech advances to host Lawrence Tech at 1 p.m. in the WHAC semifinals on Saturday.
The Warriors were led by Heritage High School graduate Kendall Knapke on Wednesday as she tallied 21 points and 11 rebounds. Rachel Bell also reached double figuers in scoring for Tech with 17 points.
Indiana Tech, ranked no. 7 in the latest NAIA DII national poll, is now 28-3 on the season.
