FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – It was Riley Ott’s first game on the collegiate level, but the freshman point guard looked like a savvy veteran as the LaPorte native tallied a team-high 18 points as Purdue Fort Wayne bested Purdue Northwester 73-50 in the season opener for both teams Tuesday night at the Gates Center.

Wayne High School grad Sh’Toya Sanders added 17 points and 10 rebounds for PFW.

The Dons will host UIC on Thursday at 11 a.m.
