Camryn is WANE 15’s Weekend Morning Meteorologist. She began as an intern in January of 2023, transitioned to part-time in March of 2023, and joined the team officially in July of 2023.
Camryn is proud to come from the small town of Albion. Growing up, she was deathly afraid of thunderstorms and severe weather. Thanks to the support of her parents who encouraged her to learn more about weather, a fear became a passion. She graduated from Central Noble High School in 2018. She continued her education at Ball State University where she graduated in December of 2022 with her degree in Meteorology and Climatology with a minor in GI Sciences.
During her time at Ball State, Camryn briefly joined Newslink Indiana to try her hand as a weather forecaster. She also served in a leadership position for the Ball State Meteorology Club. Additionally, she spent two weeks out in the Great Plains with her classmates, chasing storms in the infamous “Storm Chasing Class” where she fell in love with storm chasing.
When Camryn is not forecasting or watching the sky, you’ll find her hiding away with a good book, playing the piano and guitar, spending time with her family and friends, chasing her dog, Maelee, around the yard, or binge-watching Disney movies.
