FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Deer Park Irish Pub is hosting its fourth annual Craft Beer Festival on Saturday afternoon from 1 to 5.
Bar owner Tony Henry said the festival was first created to provide a forum for nationally known craft brewers to celebrate their art and tradition with local beer enthusiasts.
"We'll be building on the success of our first three craft beer festivals. Only at our annual craft beer festival will Fort Wayne have so many of the country's finest craft beers tapped in one place, at one time," Henry said.
Microbrewed beers on tap include:
- Arrogant Bastard
- Bell's Oktoberfest
- Okto Festival Ale
The microbreweries represented at the event include:
- Bell's Brewery from Kalamazoo, Michigan
- Three Floyds from Munster, Indiana
- Indiana's Upland Brewery from Bloomington, Indiana
- Founders Brewery from Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Widmer Brothers from Portland, Oregon
Cigars from Riegel's Pipe & Tobacco will also be available at the festival, along with different types of food from local food trucks. Live music will be provided by five bands at the festival.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 on Saturday. Proceeds go to the Jerome and Marganelle Henry Foundation for Neighborhood Health Clinics. The foundation helps provide health care to the working poor in Fort Wayne.
The bar is located at 1530 Leesburg Road in Fort Wayne.
