Police searching for shirtless man seen running from burglary

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne police are looking for a man who allegedly burglarized a home and then took off running without his shirt or boots.

According to a police report, Terry and Malorie Hanson were sitting on the front porch of their Taber Street home Sunday afternoon when they heard their dog barking.  Terry went inside to check on the dog and saw a t-shirt and a pair of boots near the back door.  Malorie then went upstairs to where the couples baby was sleeping and she saw the shirtless man run out the front door and down the street, the report said.

Officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department searched the home to make sure that no other unwanted people were inside.  They also discovered that the man entered the home through the back door, the report said.

Malorie told police that her debit card was missing and Terry added that they had just moved to Fort Wayne from Chicago.

Surveillance video from a nearby home shows the man who the Hanson’s say burglarized their home.  He is seen running down an alley without a shirt or shoes.

If you have any information about the burglary or know the man seen in the surveillance video, you are asked to call police.
