DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A Fort Wayne man was killed when a semi turned into his path on County Road 59 in DeKalb County Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency responders were called to the 4400 block of County Road 59 around 2:15 p.m.
Investigators said Michael Hall, 45, Fort Wayne, was on a motorcycle heading south when a semi driven by Nathaniel Wells, 28, Paulding, turned in front of him.
Police said Wells told investigators he saw the motorcycle but thought he was farther away and could turn in time.
Hall hit the semi and was thrown from his motorcycle. The motorcycle then burst into flames.
Hall was taken by air ambulance to a Fort Wayne hospital where he died.
Investigators said Hall was not wearing a helmet.
The crash is under investigation.
