Lapper Fundraising Walk raises more than $60,000 to help local cancer patients

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Cancer Services hosted the 2018 Lapper Fundraising Walk and Survivors Day celebration Saturday morning. The annual event raises money to help people in Northeast Indiana who are fighting cancer. 

During the event, participants walked laps around the Brotherhood Insurance Office on Mutual Drive.

Afterwards, a Survivors Day celebration was held with live music, food and games.

People gathered at Cancer Services for the Lapper Fundraising Walk and Survivors Day Celebration.

"It's an opportunity raise money for Cancer Services, and to celebrate all of those people who've been through that cancer journey," said Cancer Services Marketing Director, Stacey Sampf.

The walk raised more than $60,000.
