3 shot in apparent drive-by shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Multiple people were shot in an incident just south of downtown Fort Wayne midday Wednesday.

Dispatchers told NewsChannel 15 that "at least two" people were shot in an incident near Rudisill Boulevard and Lafayette Street. Police were working around a home in the 4400 block of South Harrison Street and in the parking lot of the AutoZone at 310 Rudisill Blvd.

Victims were reportedly in "minor to serious" condition, dispatchers said.

Police told NewsChannel 15 that several shots were fired at a maroon car with four people inside from another car. The maroon car was parked in front of a home at 4415 S. Harrison St.

After the shooting, the maroon car sped away and ended up at the AutoZone. There, police recovered three shooting victims. Police said they were all in stable condition.

Police were searching for the suspect or suspects. Police were working to get a description of the vehicle.

Investigators have not established a motive for the shooting yet.

No other information was immediately available.
