Bryson Scott named Summit League Player of the Week

Derrick Sloboda - IPFW Sports Information Department - FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Fort Wayne junior guard Bryson Scott has been named the Summit League Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Nov. 28).

The Fort Wayne native averaged 20.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals in a pair of victories last week. He scored 18 points with 12 rebounds along with three assists and three steals in an overtime defeat of No. 3 Indiana. He returned on Saturday to record 23 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 80 percent from the field and 60 percent from beyond the arc in a win over Mississippi Valley State. He recorded a 2.0 assist/turnover ratio and shot 61.5 percent during the week

This is the first Summit League Player of the Week honor for the Northrop High School graduate.

The Mastodons are 4-2 and host Siena Heights on Monday (Nov. 28) at 7 p.m.
