INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Brazil's Mario Moraes has crashed during the fourth day of Indianapolis 500 practice.
The KV Racing Technology driver started spinning as he left the pits, then hit the inside wall, damaging the rear wing and the gear box. He continued driving the No. 32 car around the track, making it back to the pits. Moraes then was taken back to the team's garage on a golf cart.
Moraes was not injured.
Series officials also announced that team owner Greg Beck has withdrawn the No. 98 and No. 98T cars. Beck did not have a driver for either car.
With less than two hours left in the practice session, Scott Dixon still had the day's fastest lap, 226.549 mph.
Qualifying for the May 30 race is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
